This policy describes how AMA Speaking Academy (the web and mobile app of American Academy Thanh Hoa) handles information. The platform is founded and operated by Teacher Souka.
What we collect
- Account information you enter: name, email, and a password stored only on your device (encrypted locally where supported).
- Homework and feedback you submit: text, audio recordings, and files you choose to send to your teacher.
- Speaking practice data: recordings and scores generated inside the app for your learning and teacher review.
- Technical data: basic app version and sync status to deliver updates and homework sync (no advertising profiles).
Microphone and camera
The app asks for microphone access only when you start speaking practice, dictation, or a test. Audio is processed for learning feedback; some features use on-device speech recognition. We do not sell voice data. The app does not require camera access for normal use.
How data is stored
Many items stay on your phone or computer first. Recordings in your private vault are encrypted with your password on your device before optional cloud backup. Teachers see only what students submit through official homework and feedback flows.
Third-party services
The app may use secure hosting (for example Surge, Netlify) to deliver files and homework APIs. Fonts may load from Google Fonts. No third party receives data for targeted advertising.
Children and students
The app is designed for students enrolled with American Academy Thanh Hoa under teacher and parent guidance. Accounts should use real contact details only for password recovery approved by the school.
Your choices
- You can use the site without installing the app.
- You can revoke microphone permission in browser or phone settings.
- Contact Teacher Souka through the academy for deletion requests related to submitted homework.

AMA Speaking Academy was created for AMA students at American Academy Thanh Hoa to practise speaking safely at home, on phone, or in class. Lesson strategies and examples are written for our courses - they are study aids, not a copy of any publisher textbook.
